Some fantastic trailers recently and yet another one has
been blog worthy! The first trailer to the second Thor film has been released
and it has made me itching to see ANOTHER! (If you caught my reference you are
obviously as caring as I am).
During this we see some random kid with a levitating truck
and some pompous old Brits being blown up in London town no less. I love this
because not only does it include some of the rest of the world, showing that
America isn’t the only country that gets conveniently attacked in movies, but it’s
a great change of pace. I’d even have been happy for it to be China or
somewhere like that. I just think they should save L.A, Chicago or somewhere
like that for The Avengers 2. We should
get some superheroes too man.
The trailer then shows Thor meeting up with Jane Foster (the wondrous Natalie Portman) taking her to either Asgard or some other realm because they power fly into the
sky. We then see some more of Sif (maybe another love interest for Thor in this
film) and some epic battles. The battle sequence reminded me a bit of a battle
sequence in The Hobbit with the Orcs
and Dwarves. I don’t know why exactly so don’t ask me. We see some Dark Elves
and it looks like (just guessing from the visuals) that Jane Foster will either
be kidnapped by them, or maybe put into some kind of mystical coma-like thing?
I don’t really know but we see an elf levitating her and Thor looking pissed
about it so I drew a conclusion.
Of course the trailer ends with a reveal that was somewhat
expected but still awesome. Of Loki, now looking like he’s spent some time on
Shutter Island. His hairs all long and he looks deranged. He looks somewhere
between Grima Wormtongue and Severus Snape on heroin with a bit of rock n' roll mixed in.
Obviously Loki then must go with Thor to fix whatever the hell is going on and I
like how it doesn’t tell us yet. No Christopher Eccleston and no Thanos yet is fine
for me.
I am very excited for this film and I think it will be a
great sequel to Thor. ‘Well duh Max you faggot.’ I say this because Iron Man 3 looks more of a sequel to The Avengers than part of its own series,
but this film is undeniably a sequel to its direct predecessor. However I do
worry where our other boys will fit in here? In The Avengers 2 will they all be like ‘Yeah sorry Thor we had so
much stuff on.’ I hope they address that in all these films leading up to The Avengers 2. While it looks like all
the British tourist locations are being destroyed where is Tony and the guys? Oh
right making a shitzillion dollars in their own movies, silly me.
