Josh Brolin is 46 and has already worked with Warner Bros. on Gangster Squad. I personally can definitely see Josh Brolin pulling off both an older Batman and Bruce Wayne... Brolin is an actor who can play both good hearted and dark characters.
Ryan Gosling is only 32 but he's also in consideration. I personally can't really see Ryan Gosling wearing the Batsuit and I don't think I could really take him seriously as a billionaire playboy. I haven't got a problem with Gosling but I don't think he's right for this role. He doesn't really look rugged enough either. Batman needs to be rugged. and chiselled...
36 year old lesser known actor Joe Magliano is also in consideration. In my opinion he looks more the part than Gosling but I like the idea of casting a well known actor opposite Henry Cavill's Superman. Casting a well known as Batman has always worked well in the past (with the exception of George Clooney) and I can see it working again.
The Hobbit's very own Richard Armitage is an actor who's name is being mentioned. He's 41 and I definitely see him playing an intimidating Batman. He's obviously not my personal choice but if it was revealed that he had been cast I can't imagine myself getting too upset about it.
Matthew Goode's name is being tossed around. He's 35 and is known to many for working with Zack Snyder on Watchmen, which may give him an edge. I however didn't rate his acting too highly in Watchmen and I can't see his almost boyish face wearing a bat cowl.
